Job Summary: The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for developing B2B sales for hydra. This includes working with wholesale partners that purchase hydra products to sell them on to consumers, while identifying new channels and partners to grow hydra's business.

 

The Sales Manager oversees a team of two hydra employees that supports these customers with the highest levels of customer care, while also working with external sales representatives who present hydra's products to retailers throughout the U.S.  

The Sales Manager plans and attends tradeshows to showcase hydra's products with reps and customers.

 

Responsibilities

Goal Setting, Achievement and Marketing Strategies:

  • Partner with management to set annual B2B sales targets and develop a plan to achieve growth including forecast for future sales.

  • Expand revenue to wholesale accounts through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

  • Identify and engage with new accounts and channels to grow hydra's wholesale sales.

  • Create and manage B2B sales plan and budget.

  • Collaborate with Product Manager to develop sales strategies for all products including sales channels, pricing strategy, cost of sales, volume targets and success metrics.

  • Work collaboratively with Creative and Marketing Managers to implement sales outreach strategies and campaigns to wholesale customers.

 

Outside Sales Representative Management:

  • Manage a multi-line sales representative network, including development and delivery of training on hydra's products, setting and monitoring regional sales goals, and coordinating sampling programs.

  • Ensure outside sales agents have marketing materials, samples, customer data and other information to enable their success.

  • Grow business via rep channel.

 

Inside Sales Team Management:

  • Lead inside sales team to achieve goals for sales growth and customer retention and satisfaction.

  • Work collaboratively with inside sales team to develop and implement outreach strategies.

  • Develop and grow team members to move up in the organization.

 

Showrooms/Trade Shows:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to implement an effective trade show participation strategy based on potential ROI, demographics, lead-generation opportunities, and budget impact.

  • Attend trade shows for on-site customer and sales representative support to maximize company exposure and sales in the field.

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients at trade events, and follow-up on new sales opportunities and leads including effective use of CRM platform.

 

Business Development:

  • Open new wholesale sales channels based on established and new strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships for growth.

  • Work with Account Manager and Marketing Manager to execute outreach plans for existing accounts to offer promotions, products, and support.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on each product, including newly launched products, particularly regarding target customer attributes and key selling points for each market to ensure success for each unique product and category.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales or Account Manager with 5-7 years Sales Experience. Proven track record of sales success.

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree

  • Must be an active listener, possess ability to negotiate, and be able to make professional presentations when needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with MS Office or similar programs required. Previous experience with CRM advantageous.

  • Results-focused

  • Highly organized to manage multiple projects and tasks and prioritize effectively.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sales experience in a gift and/or wholesale industry.

  • Experience supervising a team.

  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to a growing business.  

 

Base salary $55,000 - $60,000 plus commissions.  Preference is given to local candidates. Remote work is possible for the right candidate (U.S. only).
