Job Summary: The Fulfillment Manager at hydra is responsible for fulfillment of all orders to both wholesale and retail customers. This person proactively collaborates with sales and manufacturing teams to set customer expectations and delight them when they receive a hydra order. The hydra Fulfillment Manager is hands-on, actively packing and shipping orders, while maintaining and continuously improving systems for filling orders, communicating with the team and customers, keeping inventory accurate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Pull orders from online platform: pick, pack, ship, and keep system updated in real time.

    • Maintain quality control of product being transferred/shipped.

    • Work with team to correct customer product issues, as needed

    • Coordinate all carrier pick-ups and deliveries.

  • Implement and improve fulfillment procedures.

    • Review and improve customer manuals to meet and exceed standards.

  • Inventory / Stock management:

    • Transfer product from manufacturing to fulfillment

    • Reconcile inventory for online platforms on an ongoing basis.

    • Maintain list of all low inventory and back ordered items.

    • Maintain shipping material inventories.

    • Receive and disperse all shipments.

  • Procurement and budget

    • Optimize shipping procedures to enable accurate and timely shipment while controlling costs.

    • Cost analysis for USPS, Fed Ex and UPS to ensure we are at competitive tiers.

    • Meet with vendors on an ongoing basis to improve quality and reduce cost of packing materials.

    • Order and maintain stock of certain non-manufactured items within budgetary guidelines.

  • Supervise and assist one employee, Order Flow Coordinator and expand the team as the company growth demands.

 

Make sure that when a customer opens a package from Hydra, they smile.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Must be able to commit to a standard work schedule

  • Warehouse and shipping experience preferred but not required

  • Forklift certification preferred but not required. We offer training.

  • English proficiency required

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a fulfillment role for wholesale, retail, or both.

  • Transferable knowledge of computer platforms for sales, inventory, and fulfillment.

  • Experience in supervising and training.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Must be motivated to work hard under minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to a growing business.
